Reading from the centre outward
The square grids divide the plan by rows and columns; the circle drawing divides it by distance from the centre. The classical Vastu tradition describes the dwelling in bands — an innermost band belonging to Brahma, a middle band for the deities, and an outer band for human dwelling — radiating from the calm centre to the busy edge.
What the tool reports, and what it will not claim
The drawing places five rings at even fractions of the plan's radius, and any point you tap is read by its ring and its exact distance from the centre as a share of the radius. One honesty matters here: the practice records name the three traditional bands but do not fix which of the five drawn rings each band covers. So the tool reports the ring number and the distance — the facts — and leaves the naming of bands to the practitioner, saying so openly in the result.
How practitioners use this
The ring reading complements the Brahma zone and the pada grid: it shows how deep into the plan an element sits, regardless of its direction. Practitioners use it to grade intrusions — the same cupboard reads differently at eighty per cent of the radius than at twenty — and to explain to clients, on one simple drawing, why the middle of the house is treated differently from its rim. The ring-by-ring notes then join the client report under the practitioner's own name.
Frequently asked questions
Why five rings?
Five even rings at twenty-per-cent steps make the distance readable at a glance; the reading always gives the exact percentage too.
Which ring is the Brahma band?
The records name the bands without numbering them onto these rings, and the tool refuses to guess; the innermost rings are where the centre's restraint applies most.
Does this replace the sixteen-zone reading?
No — zones divide by direction, rings by depth. The two readings answer different questions and are strongest together.
