Nadi Crossings

Nadi Crossings draws the eight channel lines that run from the centre of the plan toward the eight directions, and reads how close any point of your layout sits to a line or to the central crossing.

Channels through the plan

The classical Vastu tradition pictures subtle channels — nadis — running through the dwelling, and the drawing this tool follows is simple: eight straight lines from the centre of the plan toward the eight directions, meeting at the centre where the flows are most concentrated. The working principle recorded with the drawing is that these lines, and above all their crossing, should remain free for unobstructed flow.

What the tool reads

Over your plan and north angle, the tool draws the eight lines and marks the central crossing. Tap any point and it reports the nearest nadi by direction, the angular offset from that line, the perpendicular distance as a share of the plan's radius, and whether the point effectively sits on a line or at the crossing itself. It states plainly what it is: a geometric reading of where your layout stands against the eight lines — no more is claimed.

How practitioners use this

Practitioners use the nadi drawing as a sightline check. Fixed obstructions — a column, a heavy cupboard wall, a toilet block — that land squarely on a line or near the crossing are flagged, and lighter uses are suggested for those strips. The line-by-line findings slot neatly into the client report, under the practitioner's own name, beside the grid and marma readings.

Frequently asked questions

Are the eight lines the same as the directions?

They run toward the eight directions, but the reading is about distance to the line itself — a point can be in the east and still sit far from the east line.

How close is "on the line"?

The tool uses a small stated tolerance relative to the plan's radius and shows the actual distance, so you can judge rather than trust a label.

Is the centre crossing the same as the Brahma zone?

They coincide at the centre, but they are different readings; use the Brahma zone tool for the zone itself.
