Vithi Shoola

Vithi Shoola examines roads that strike your plot head-on and obstructions that face your entrance, reading the direction struck and the distance, as the classical Vastu tradition does.

The street that points at the house

The classical Vastu tradition pays particular attention to a road that runs straight into a plot — at a T-junction, a fork, or square against the facade. It calls such a strike a street-spear, and reads it by two measures: which face of the plot is struck, and from how far. A strike on one face is read as touching one department of life, on another face a different one; and a distant strike is treated as faint where a close one is treated as full.

Strikes and obstructions

Beside road strikes the tradition lists obstructions that face an entrance — a pole, a tree trunk, a wall corner, a drain mouth — each read by what it is and where it stands. The tool takes your situation — the kind of strike or obstruction, the face it meets, the distance — and returns the traditional reading with its severity band, from barely notable to serious. The classical basis appears with the result, quoted from the practice's source records, and where the records are not verifiable the tool says so rather than inventing a line.

How to use this tool

Stand at your entrance and look outward. Note anything pointing at it — a road, a lane, a pole — the direction it comes from, and pace the distance. Enter these and read the result. For a strike the tradition considers serious, the Balancers page lists the moderating measures it prescribes, offered as tradition rather than guarantee.

FAQ

Q. A road passes beside my plot, not into it. Is that a strike? No — a passing road is not a spear; the strike is a road aimed at the plot.

Q. Does distance really change the reading? Yes; the tradition grades strikes by bands of distance, and beyond its furthest band treats them as spent.

Q. Which face is worst struck? The reading differs by face; the tool states the traditional account for yours.
